Hello, I'm Kate MacKenzie!
I am about to graduate with a Bachelor of Design, majoring in Digital Experience and Interaction Design, from Curtin University.
I've always been drawn to design, and all things creative throughout my life, and so when it came to graduating high school and thinking about what I could realistically see myself doing as a career, I knew I had to give it a go.
I started my university journey majoring in Graphic Design, which I thoroughly enjoyed, but made the switch to Digital Design a year ago as I found it immensely interesting and mentally engaging in a way that Graphic Design wasn't. Besides the visual design, I really enjoy the UX research side of things and getting to deep-dive into the users' thoughts and feelings to understand what they need and want most from a product.
Besides design, I am really into music and finding new albums to add to my vinyl collection. My cats are the loves of my life, Olive and Bambi, and I couldn't imagine a world without them. I love to challenge myself by learning new skills and so I'm very excited to start my career journey and see where it takes me!
